As anyone who owns a rifle will know, there is a great deal of structural variety from maker to make, and the choice of scope and moderator can change the picture even more. The result is that an off-the-shelf rifle slip tends to be quite large and unwieldy in order to accommodate these variables.
I offer a bespoke alternative that gives a snug fit and a more streamlined profile. We work together at the planning stage and start with a basic, traced outline and I alter my template accordingly (see the image of the pattern for the Mid Tan rifle slip featured in the main photograph).
The full grain leather can be soft or hard, depending on your preference and comes in a range of colours (Dark Brown, Mid Tan and Black) and textures. The rifle is protected by a double layer of 4mm polyfoam and brown or black fleece and sturdy handles and a detachable shoulder strap come as standard. I can also add a side zipper and internal pocket. The slips are hand stitched with linen thread (not a machine in sight) and the blocked muzzle-end is double-stitched for strength and durability.
I also make double rifle slips, linked by buckled straps so that they can also be used independently.
You can elect to personalise anywhere on the body of the rifle slip for an extra £20.
